Paul was appointed as a strategic consultant by a client to provide advice and guidance to the Facilities Management team, regarding the implementation of a global emergency procedures document written by the building owners in Singapore.
The contents of this document were written in a ‘one size fits all way, but clearly required local interpretation for clarity and action.
The client was unable to fully comprehend how to implement the requirements, which would be audited annually, at their site given the differences in UK legislative requirements and emergency operational procedures.
Working with the onsite and national team of the client, Paul worked tirelessly, to understand the requirements, translate them using his knowledge of UK emergency procedures for crisis, major and critical incidents, at the same time ensuring as far as possible the clients processes would stand up the scrutiny of audit.
The new procedures were introduced, tested and exercised to the complete satisfaction of the client and moreover the audit which they passed with merit.
