DW Associates is proud to announce it has achieved the Cyber Essentials accreditation after an independent assessment of its IT systems and network. Cyber Essentials is a UK Government standard created by the National Cyber Security Centre and shows a company’s commitment to protecting itself and the people it does business with safe from cyber security breaches. To achieve the standard, each company has to demonstrate its compliance with security controls against the most common cyber threats and by being certified, it is thought to reduce your cyber risk by up to 98.5%.
David Ward founder of DW Associates said “Cyber security is an issue that affects every business globally. It is important for all business, regardless of size or sector, to take preventative measures to keep business systems secure and to avoid any future data breaches arising. The cyber essentials certification covers everything your business should to to protect itself from cyberattacks and its comprehensive assessment procedure demonstrates to our clients and business partners that we have robust measures in place to protect our businesses against cyberattacks. Of course this is not about just gaining a tick in the box, for cyber security to be effective does require systems to be regularly reviewed to ensure they are watertight and fit for purpose. We would recommend all our clients and business connections, if they have not already, review their cyber security and work towards this useful certification.”
